Hi!
In case you still don't know what the Summer Learning Journey is here is an explanation. The SLJ is a learning thing that helps you in the holidays to prevent the summer slide. The summer slide is something that means we lose lots of our learning in the holidays when we can prevent most of that by doing 3 blog posts a day for 4 weeks not including weekends. That means there are 60 blog posts that we can do to help us. Best of all this is a competition so each blog has a certain amount of points. So at the end of the holidays our points are added up and we get prizes.
Here is what I have to do today.
Here is my work that I found out.
WOW! What an amazing achievement.
She was only 14-16 there were no exact answers.
Do you think you could achieve something like that?
What is your greatest achievement?
Comment what you think and your answers.
Until next time...
Bye!
Here is what I have to do today.
For this activity, please choose one person (a changemaker) and read all about them.
On your blog, provide us with:
- The name of the person
- A description of the work they do/have done
- An explanation of how they/their work has had an impact on the lives of others

Hello Abby, its me Parwin! I see you are also doing the SLJ, the challenge is on!
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you included a great explanation about what the SLJ is for those who don't know what it is. You also presented your findings as well!
This reminds me of when I did this activity, except I chose Thomas Edison who was the person invented the light bulb in like around the 1800's.
I think that something you could improve on, is maybe to use a website because although you did present it well, if you chose a different website and made it more colourul, it would be more eye catching!
Awesome work!
Looking forward to your next posts,
Parwin
Hello Abby,
ReplyDeleteIts me Alan. I did not know you where doing the summer learning journey.
I liked just like parwin said which is I really liked how you included a great explanation about what the SLJ is for those who don't know what it is. You also presented your findings as well!
This reminds me of when I did this activity, except I chose A maori explorer, Tamatea.
If you want to improve it is you can use a website and make a video ar you can put the pictures in a presentation.
Awesome work!
Looking forward to your next posts,
Kind regards
Alan
Hi Alan, thank you for commenting on my blog. I'm glad you liked my blog post. What did Tamatea do? I will try to do something like you suggested next time.
DeleteKind regards,
Abby.
Bula Abby,
ReplyDeleteGreat work on completing another Summer Learning Journey activity - keep up the good work. Don’t forget to comment back to blog commenters as well as on others SLJ blog posts to gain extra points.
Going around the whole world on a boat is a massive achievement so I can see why you picked Laura Decker for this activity.
I think if I really put my mind to it I could achieve something like that with lots of determination, what about you?
I think my greatest achievement is my family and getting my degree at university, what would you say is yours?
Until next time, happy blogging :)
Emma
