Hi!
In case you still don't know what the Summer Learning Journey is here is an explanation.
The SLJ is a learning thing that helps you in the holidays to prevent the summer slide.
The summer slide is something that means we lose lots of our
learning in the holidays when we can prevent most of that
by doing 3 blog posts a day for 4 weeks not including weekends.
That means there are 60 blog posts that we can do to help us.
Best of all this is a competition so each blog has a certain amount of points.
So at the end of the holidays our points are added up and we get prizes.
For this activity this is what we have to do.
For this activity this is what we have to do.
For this activity, let’s imagine that you were Neil Armstrong.
On your blog, write a short poem describing how you felt when you first set foot on the moon. Here is a link to some different poetry forms.
I chose to do a haiku that means 5 syllables at the first line 7 in the middle and 5 at the end, here is my poem...
That was my poem.
I know it is simple but it is a Haiku after all.
What would you write as your poem?
What is your favourite style poem?
Comment your answers and maybe an idea of
what my next blog should include.
Until next time...
Bye!
Hey Abby,
ReplyDeleteGreat haiku! Awesome presentation as well - the contrasting colours of the sky and the stars really make your post pop! :)
Do you like doing creative writing activities like this one? I'm not sure that I have a favourite style of poetry. I do like limericks though.
Have a great afternoon and a wonderful weekend.
Blog ya later! :)
Mikey
