Week 1 - Day 2 - Activity 1

Hi!

In case you still don't know what the Summer Learning Journey is here is an explanation.
The SLJ is a learning thing that helps you in the holidays to prevent the summer slide.
The summer slide is something that means we lose lots of our
learning in the holidays when we can prevent most of that
by doing 3 blog posts a day for 4 weeks not including weekends.
That means there are 60 blog posts that we can do to help us.
Best of all this is a competition so each blog has a certain amount of points.
So at the end of the holidays our points are added up and we get prizes.

This is  day 2, week 1, activity 1.
Called Flying solo.
Here is what we have to do.

For this activity, compare and contrast these two aviators. You could use this venn diagram.
On your blog, share your comparison between the two women and be sure to include at least three similarities and three differences between these two aviators.

I chose to use the diagram but change it a bit.
Here is my work about Amelia Earhart and Jean Batten.

That was my work.
I think that even though its simple.
It still looks cool.
What achievements have you done alone?
Comment your answer as well as what
you think about this blog post.
Until next time...
Bye!

  1. Morena Abby,

Great stuff on another well done Summer Learning Journey blog post! You guys are keeping me very busy which is fabulous.

I like how you have used the venn diagram resource to do this activity and that you added colour to make it stand out.

Being a pilot back then would have been really challenging and probably very scary. Do you think you would have been brave enough to fly a plane back then or even now?

Until next time, happy blogging :)

    1. Hi Emma, Thank you for commenting on my blog. I don't think i could fly a plane especially back then because then we would have lots of problems with planes. And now most of the time pilots have lots of passengers to get to places safely. Do you think you could do it?

      Kind regards,
      Abby.

    2. Morena Abby,

Yes, planes definitely were not the safest back then I wouldn't think.
I don't think I could, I don't like flying at the best of times let alone if I was flying it!
Have you ever flown anywhere on a plane before?

Until next time, happy blogging :)
