Hi!
In case you still don't know what the Summer Learning Journey is here is an explanation. The SLJ is a learning thing that helps you in the holidays to prevent the summer slide. The summer slide is something that means we lose lots of our learning in the holidays when we can prevent most of that by doing 3 blog posts a day for 4 weeks not including weekends. That means there are 60 blog posts that we can do to help us. Best of all this is a competition so each blog has a certain amount of points. So at the end of the holidays our points are added up and we get prizes.
Here is what I have to do now.
For this activity, imagine that you were asked to create a travel brochure for Tonga (or a country that is important to you). On the brochure, include lots of great tips about what to see and do in the country.
On your blog, post your finished copy of your brochure.
Now here is my brochure.
Imagine that the line in the middle means that there is a crease where you fold it.
That is the brochure.
I know it is simple, but I think it still looks good.
Would you come here?
If not where would you go?
Comment your answer and opinion and I will probably reply.
Until next time...
Bye!
Hello Abby,
ReplyDeleteI am Vitaraag. I really like how you explaned what the summer learning Journey is and then got on with the activity. Yes I would come there it sounds like a wonderful place.I also like how you gave questions to the reader. Maybe next time you could add a bit of what to do in Tonga. Keep up the phenomenal work.
Vitaraag
Hi there Vitaraag, It's Abby from Yaldhurst. Thank you for commenting on my blog, I appreciate your feedback. I think I did add enough of what you could do there because of the whales, the watering hole and all the islands that you could explore. Again thank you for spending your time commenting on my blog.
DeleteWhere would you go if you could go anywhere in the world?
Kind regards,
Abby.

Hello Abby, its me Parwin! I see you are also doing the SLJ the challenge is on!
ReplyDeleteI really like your brochure as it is very colorful and the text is easy to read. You also gave a great explanation about everything too!
This reminds me of when I did this except, I did it on Canva and I chose Afghanistan as it is an important country for me.
I think that you did an awesome job! At the moment, I can't think of something for you to improve on, but if you have anything in mind that would make your blog post even better, then go for it!
I think I would like to go to Tonga but I also want to go to Bora Bora too, as well as Afghanistan, Iran and many other countries!
Awesome work!
Looking forward to your next posts,
Parwin
Hi Parwin, thanks for commenting on my blog. I'm glad that you think my blog post was good. Canva is a great way to show off your work. You seem like you want to go to lots of places.
DeleteHave you thought about making it into a career where you travel the world for something?
Kind regards,
Abby.
Hello Abby,
ReplyDeleteIt is me Albin here.
That Brochure is really amazing.
I liked it very much.
To make it better you could make it like a 3d book folded towards the reader.
Any way it is amazing.
Kind regards
Albin.
Hi there Albin. Thank you for commenting on my blog. I tried to make it so the middle line is a crease so you can fold the book.
DeleteKind regards,
Abby.
Hi Abby!
ReplyDeleteMe again. :)
What an awesome travel poster! I really like how you've drawn all your own pictures and even laid it out like a proper, foldable brochure - great attention to detail.
Tonga sounds like a beautiful place. Have you been? I've been to Samoa and Fiji but I haven't yet been to Tonga. I'd like to though.
Have a wonderful day, Abby. I look forward to reading more posts from you soon. :)
Ka kite ano,
Mikey
