Get in quick, get out quicker...

Hi!
This week we have been doing narrative writing.
With our narrative writing we have 25 different prompts to choose from.
Since we have been doing writing I decided to
share the first two paragraphs of the story that I wrote on Tuesday.
The prompt for that story was:

I was very excited to write about this since it gave me an opportunity to write a story that relates to some books I like to read.
So I hope you enjoy the introduction of my story.

That was the introduction for the story.
If you want to you can comment some feedback for that
first part of the story and I will try to improve it.
Also comment if you want me to blog some more narrative
introductions or a different part of the stories.
Whats your favourite kind of story?
Did you like this story?
Do you want to read more?
Until next time...
Bye!

Just a little seed...

Hi!
This week we are finally back at school.
Today the teachers planted a 'seed' of knowledge of homophones.
Homophones are words that sound the same.
So I decided to do three words that sound the same but have a completely different meaning.
Their, there and they're.
If you already know the difference then this can just be a reminder.
Here's the poster I made:

That was the poster I made, I hope you liked it.
If you didn't know what the differences were then I hope this helped.
If you did then hopefully this was a good reminder.
I already knew the differences between them but I think that sometimes I still used the wrong one and I also learnt what homophones are.
Did you know this? Did you learn anything new? Can you think of different homophones?
Comment what you think about this.
Until next time...
Bye!

A little, BIG robin...

Hi!
This week for my blog post I chose to blog about one of my writing activities.
For this we just watched a video, answered some questions
then do either a long write or a fun activity.
For that one I chose a video about the Chatham Islands.
I answered the questions then chose to do the activity.
The activity was a bit different from what I did since I have no paint.
But here is the finished picture...

That was it, I hope you liked it.
So the activity was to paint the background to be like the bush.
Then use native plants and paint them to make prints on the paper.
Then draw and cut out a robin and paint it black.
Since I had no paint I just drew everything but I think it is really close to what we had to do.
Until next time...
Bye!

Something new?

Hi!
Today I just chose to do a fun blog post to do another bloggers word find.
This took about 20 minutes to complete since some of the words were very hard to find.
But I think it was really fun to do.
So here is the completed word find...

As you can see this was made by Aimee at Grey Main School.
Here is the link to her blog post: LINK
Do you like word finds?
Have you ever made one?
What is your strategy to find the words?
I hope you enjoyed this quick post and are inspired
to do your own or find your own word find..
Until next time...
Bye!
