The First Two Saturdays Of The Holidays.

The First Two Saturdays Of The Holidays. A Recount.
In Kauri class this week we have been learning how  to  write recounts. We have been focussing on making other recounts  and our own recounts better by adding punctuation and paragraphs. Everyone in Kauri got a buddy to make our recounts AWESOME! My recount is about the first two Saturdays of the term three holidays. I hope you like my recount.

On the first two Saturdays of the  holidays I went to my dad’s house, Time Zone with Jorja,Nikita g and lily I got heaps of tickets,We  Watched my mum’s softball game and went to the swamp where we get something to eat. We went to have fun for the holidays!

Jorja and I went to my dad’s house on the first Saturday. My little sister lucy kept asking me to play with her till I said yes or go away. Then my little brother Hunter wanted to copy Lucy so when Lucy left Hunter wanted me to play with him so I said yes.He wanted to play with his toy baby so I let him and his baby  sit on the spinny chair and I spined them around like a car after that he went off to play with Jorja the first time I asked to play with her she said “NO” then she asked me and I said “yes” .Then Jorja stepped on my toe twice holding Lucy and with shoes on.  My toe started bleeding so I got a plaster and I sat on the couch and mostly watched tv and played on my ipad.

Then on the second Saturday my mum took Jorja,Nikita G, Lilly and I to Time Zone. We got thirty dollar cards and we played so many games. In the end Nikita g got out two one hundred dollar boxes. I got 204 in the end and I got lots of lollys two bouncy balls and one small basket ball.

When we finished at time zone we went to softball. My mum plays softball for the royals. I mostly stayed in the car and played in the park with lilly. We got heaps of things to eat I spilt the popcorn in the car and we couldn't pick it all up.Someone locked the keys In the car. (It wasn't me though) people were blaming it on me but in the end we got the door open.

After that  we all went to the swamp where we always go after softball. I got a raspberry and coke drink and chips. Lilly gave us free mc donald cards from mcdonald's. Seem Mcdonald's was right next door so everybody except for me got one thing from mc donalds. I didn't get any because I wasn't hungry and I didn't like most of the stuff on the list.

I had a AWESOME first two Saturdays. Now I’m exited for the next holidays! We were all excited for the rest of the holidays. We were all feeling happy.

  1. YOu have a strong understanding of how to organise and write an effective recount, Abby. You have added detail and your personal thinking. This makes for interesting reading. I agree with you. Brussel sprouts are much better than McDonalds.
Abby, because your background if dark, your writing is hard to read. Have a look at some of your friend's blogs to get some ideas.

  3. I am sorry that your toe was hurt. Did you enjoy watching your mum play softball? Does mum enjoy playing softball? You have presented lots of information in order.

I look forward to your next blog post.

  4. Hi Abby,I really enjoyed reading your story. It sounds like you had a lot of fun. Just to let you know some of the names written in your story need to have capital letters. Keep in touch. From Savannah
