Dragon work?

Hi!

For the past week or so we have been doing...

Dragon Work.

So what we had to do was find out about at least two islands from race to the edge.

(Race to the edge is a netflix TV series.)

After that we had to choose one island.

I chose Changewing island.

This is because I am designing my dragon to be able to eat changewings, another type of dragon. Also my dragon is best in rocky places like changewing island, or another island could be outcast island. My dragon will be able to climb trees and eat some of the plants.

CREATIVE!!

Hi!

For the past couple of weeks we have been doing

SCHOOL JOURNAL!

At the end of last week we finished it and we are starting a new one.

So I will show you my whole old school journal slide.

I found it really fun making it look creative and answering all the questions.

I think I could of made the slides with the words

and summary more interesting but I still like it.

With school journal work we are trying to show that we 

can read a short story, find 5 words we don't understand,

 complete some activities to a high standard.

The activities help us improve at being able to discuss

 the author's use of inference and deduction for effect.

Also the activities help us find and determine important ideas.

Mine was doing the close to the edge description slide.

I think I did well for that slide.

I also like the creativeness I used for the close to the edge second chapter.

This week for my reading Wonder work...

WE FINISHED THE ACTIVITIES!!!!!

All we had to do was finish our book cover

and write a book review.

I had already finished my book

cover so I just had to do the review.

After that we just had to add those

into a DLO. (Digital Learning Object)

My favourite part of the book was the 

amount of imagery that was included.

Also I found that it was always really interesting.
I can't think of a part of the book I don't 

like apart from the mean people.

Right now we are starting to watch the movie Wonder.

Topsy Turvy Twins??

Hi!

This week on Tuesday for math different math groups joined 

together to complete a activity and two challenges.

The math groups were the Mathketeers, Denominators and the Squadrilaterals (My group).

Here is what we had to do for the main part and the first challenge...

We were aloud to pair up for this so I paired up with Maddie, a denominator.

The Denominators had to pair up since they haven't learnt about linear equations yet.

The first part was easy and didn't take long but the linear equation did.

I also added in a table of how much money they had during 10 days.

I wonder...

Hi!

Last week for my wonder activity I chose the activity where we 
had to pretend that we are August and Jack and write/create some funny,
sarcastic notes to leave in Julian's locker.

I did need to ask some people for some notes.

CANVA ... Learning?

HI!

Today we just started a new writing genre...

Non Chronological Report!

All that we could do today is make a Canva.

The Canva had to list everything that should be in a Non Chronological Report.

We had to learn about the features of a non chronological 

report before we could make the Canva about it.

We did that by reading one and highlighting the features.

My one is very rainbowy and unicorny.

With a bit of black and white.
